2020 has not been kind to the best of us. We’ve been kept in our home, put our health first and been made to re-evaluate what we want to achieve and what we think is important. For many, the holidays they had booked, the weddings they were having and the plans they had made, were all put on hold.
But things are looking up. And as a country, we are bouncing back. In fact, now may be a better time than ever to begin building your dream home. It may seem counter-intuitive with what we’ve been through in the last few months. But starting the design process now can you put ahead of the market when it’s back to business as usual. So why not use that holiday money and invest it in your future self and the dream home you’ve always wanted.
Unlike buying a home where you can be in within the next week if it all times up well, building a home takes a slightly longer process. If you’re not sure whether to buy or build, check out our blog post on the topic here. Building your dream home won’t happen overnight. There is paperwork, designs, consents and all that fun formalities that go with building. So, the sooner you start, the sooner you’ll be in your new home.
So, what’s the first step in building your new home?
Have a chat with us – If you think now is the right time, let’s have a chat. We will get to know you and your project and ask a few formalities. You will also get to know us and how we work.
First Site Meeting – from there, we will have our first site meeting and start to develop a design brief that incorporates everything you’re looking for in a home. You will be assigned an architect who will assess the site constraints and discuss the build budget. This will help us to understand your site and any considerations needed to turn your project into reality.
Concept Design – At this stage, we start ironing out the finer details of the project so we can provide you with a detailed concept design and estimates for the build as per the information we have at the time. Congratulations, your dream home is now well underway.
So why not turn 2020 around and make it the year you decided to finally build your dream home. If you think you are ready, feel free to get in touch via our contact us page or download our FREE design and build eBook here.
